In this the sims 4 tutorial i teach you how to build a functional attic that your sims can use including roof windows and a roof balcony. Issues with roofs clipping into rooms in ts4. Has anyone else had this problem or. I m finding i have to redo my roofing so the edges don t cut into my rooms.

Start with a two storey building with the upper level not as wide as the lower section. The next thing to do is to place a room unit where you want the roofing to disappear. Recently i ve found any roof built on a second floor clips into the room even when it s showing as a completed room. The walls going inside the house means that you cannot complete the trimming on the outside as simply as you could before as the corner shows inside of the room from original post.

Add a gable roof to the upper section and a half gable roof to the lower section. I don t mind this on the outside but unlike sims 3 the clipping wall is actually visible inside the house which looks beyond horrible. If you find that you can see a roof section on the inside of your structure the first thing to do is check and see if you have a complete walled room unit without any breaks in it. I don t have any coielings but i have already tried replacing them and the two roofs either side above the bay windows don t go through either even though those rooms don t have a ceiling.

The windows let light into the upper level and depending on the height of the lower section of roof there is often no need for a cheat to place the windows. The trim also protude into the house meaning you cannot have trim on the house when there is more than one level of roofing defeats the purpose. As you can see over the open reception area the roof is coming through. Weather does not af.
